SAN FRANCISCO

  • Boat Rides at Blue Heron Boathouse - escape the city without leaving as row your boat around the urban lake. 

  • Parade of Boats at Opening Day on The Bay - April 28th over 100 decorated boats parade by kicking off boating season. 

  • Dolores Park - picnic or head to the playground for on the best views of the San Francisco skyline.

PENINSULA

  • Rent a pedal boat or go kayaking on Foster City’s Lagoon

  • Explore Filoli’s gardens

  • Bike around Sawyer Camp Trail in Burlingame

  • Walk around the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Mateo

  • Take some gorgeous photos at the Pulgas Water Temple

  • Visit a Farmer’s Market (so many local ones!)

  • Walk around Baylands Nature Preserve

  • S’mores at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay

  • Tide pools at Fitzgerald Marine Preserve. The cypress tree tunnel is also a must!

  • Hike Mori Point and see the coastal views

  • Visit Pigeon Point Lighthouse then Año Nuevo State Park to see a large colony of elephant seals.

  • Find banana slugs at Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve

  • Visit the goats at the Harley Farms then get a sandwich from Arcangeli’s Grocery Co. and take it to Bean Hollow State Beach

  • Watch the surfers at the Pacifica State Beach

  • Spend the day at Poplar Beach

  • Take scooters to Devils Slide trail

  • Take pictures at The Cactus Gardens on the Stanford University Campus

  • See the mustard flowers in Half Moon Bay

  • Adventure Playground- you won’t want to miss this unique playground in Berkeley where they have a painting zone for kids and hammer and nails for kids to build 

  • Crab Cove- walk around the shores of the Bay in Alameda and visit the Doug Siden Visitor Center to learn more about local sea life. Free entry ✨

  • Rose the Riverter National History Park- Learn more about the efforts and sacrifices of the American citizens in WWll and the local history involved. They have junior ranger packets for kids!

  • Mia’s Dream Come True all inclusive playground in Hayward

NORTH BAY

  • Go flower picking at Park Winter Flower Farms. Their fields will be open for U pick March 30 for the most beautiful spring blooms 💐 

  • Take a ride on the Napa Gondola you can bring the kids or have a parents day/evening out and enjoy the beautiful weather (while it’s not too hot yet 🥵 ) along the Napa river! Pack a picnic or grab something from a local downtown restaurant along with your favorite bottle of wine!

  • Take a hike at Putah Creek Trail. This kid friendly trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit in Spring. Dogs are also welcome, but must be on a leash. 

  • Take the kids on a bike ride with Napa Valley Bike Tours along the Napa Valley Wine Trail to see some stunning sights of the spring flowers and wineries!
