Best Bay Area & Beyond U-Pick Farms

Looking for the best u-pick farms in the Bay Area & beyond? We've got your list below with everything from berries to tomatoes and even kiwi!

For all farms, it is best to bring your own basket to collect items, your own bag to bring items home, sturdy shoes for walking in the fields/orchard, sun protection and cash (many farms only accept cash, be sure to check!)

NORTH BAY

Ratzlaff Farm (13128 Occidental Rd, Sebastopol) has apples to pick yourself starting in September

EARTHseed Farm (3175 Sullivan Rd, Sebastopol) will open in summer for u-pick starting in July with plums, pluots and blackberries
Boring Farm (4200 Canfield Rd, Sebastopol) has u-pick raspberries every Saturday from June-September


EAST BAY

Nunn Better Farms (2777 Sellers Ave, Brentwood) is a popular spot in Contra Costa County and a sprawling 70 acre orchard for delicious cherries. Estimated to be open in early May.

Moffatt Cherries (1635 Walnut Blvd, Brentwood) offers another option in the area. No appointment needed but this farm is cash only.

G&S Farms (2490 Sellers Ave, Brentwood) has u-pick cherries starting May 13. In the fall, they will have pumpkins available to select right off the vine!

Cloverfield Farm (501 La Paloma Rd, El Sobrante) is open Fri-Sun for u-pick with seasonal options.


SOUTH BAY

Tru2Earth Farm in Gilroy.

Borello Family Farms (Morgan Hill & Gilroy) has multiple locations so follow them on IG to get the latest updates on which varieties are ready and which fields are open

Tru2Earth Farm (10505 Santa Teresa Blvd, Gilroy) has u-pick berries, vegetables and even flowers! 

Berry Island Farms (10385 Watsonville Rd, Gilroy) has u-pick most Saturdays from 9am-1pm (follow on social media for updates). They only accept cash

Webb Ranch (2720 Alpine Rd, Portola Valley) will have berries starting in June

Skyline Chestnuts (22322 Skyline Blvd, La Honda) will have u-pick in fall

SANTA CRUZ AREA

Swanton Berry Farm (25 Swanton Rd, Davenport) will have u-pick strawberries starting in May, ollaliberries in summer and then kiwi at the end of the year!

Luz de Valle Farm (1875 Hames Rd, Aptos) starts their u-pick apple season Labor Day weekend and continues into October. Plus, they have horses on-site at their property!


MONTEREY AREA

Gizdich Ranch, Watsonville

Live Earth Farm (1275 Green Valley Rd, Watsonville) has seasonal u-pick ranging from berries to peppers to tomatoes. Berries are slated to be up first in June

Gizdich Ranch (55 Peckham Rd, Watsonville) has all sorts of berries in the summer months plus apples in fall. Be sure to indulge in one of their delicious pies while you're there

Crystal Bay Farm (40 Zils Rd, Watsonville) will open May 7th with strawberries. $2 entry fee per person
